John Banks!

John uses higher boost targets than the normal Tek2 and runs slightly leaner, but very safely leaner. More power Egor!

I've got a JB tek 2.5 As far as I'm aware John found himself doing a lot of custom remaps for MY99/00's that had a very similar set up, i.e. full decat and filter on a standard turbo and intercooler. The tek 2 doesn't really take full advantage of this set up as much as the full custom remap (tek 3). However, John quickly realised that the maps he was creating for these cars were pretty much the same hence he made a standardised tek 2.5 which works well with the above set up.

I'm sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure thats pretty much what happened

I got an extra 1 PSI from my TD04 when upgrading from Tek2 to Tek2.5. Add some Samco intercooler hoses for a bit more still. I now see 17PSI held in 2nd and 3rd and 18PSI in 4th & 5th. Slight overboost in 5th but nothing too dramatic.

Andy.
