I melted a piston a while back and it left a raised mark on the bore. It looks like alloy. I have had a rub over with some abrasive paper (emry paper) and that seems to remove it!!
How would you remove the mark without costing large amounts off money??

I could use a bore buster (deglazer) and put that down but I have'nt removed the conrod so that may get in the way!!

the mark is about 1.5cm in diameter if that!! and is raised about 1-3mm off the surface off the bore. That is the only mark.

Any advice on the removal off the mark much appreciated!!
