Noticed a few weeks back that the heaters in my Type-R were blowing cold when stationary. After looking under the bonnet I noticed that I was low on coolant (i.e. non in the plastic tank in the passenger wing) but quite full in the header tank.) Topped up about 4 weeks ago with the apppropriate coolant and then have used it for the four weeks.
Have checked it again today and the platic tank was empty again and took about half a litre to fill to just above full mark.
Could this be because I never checked it after taking it for a run after filling or could I have a more serious coolant leak problem.
I have not seen any signs of coolant leakage and all the heaters in the car still work fine so it cant be getting too low. Also, the temperature gauge never moves from the half way point, even when stuck in traffic for ages!!!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
