I have emailed a bloke in japan at Prova about what changes the Prova ecu has. And he replyed with this. Can anyone tell me if the map is okay?

>I am interested in what changes the prova ecu has, i.e boost setting , is
>it mapped for a induction kit, or full decat exhaust etc?

Our ECU is best suited for Subaru EJ20 engine.
1) ignition timing map; advaned timeing from 1700rpm. about 3 deg.
Best ignition timing brings more response and more torque.
( We adjusted ignition timing as 98 octane number petrol which is
Japan premium
petrol)
I know 96 octane number petrol in UK. It is better for you to use
octane booster .
I do use Optimax + booster.

2) turbo boost map; standard setting is 1.08 bar at 4500rpm, 0.9 bar at
5200rpm over.
Our seting is 1.2 bar at 4500rpm, 1.0 bar at 5200 rpm over.
I have now set my boost to 1.3bar with dawes

3) adaptability
ECU data can adapt to any exhaust type or intake system.
But we know the direct air intake system without air box from engine
room is
not good for high performance. The reason is breathe in hot air from engine
room, and
intake air fall into disorder by intake trumpet , air mass meter cannot
measure collect
intake mass. It is need air chamber as same as standard air filter box.
Our test result: exhaust pipe diameter is 60mm at turbo outlet, 70mm
os best for exhaust muffler pipe .

With best regards,

Have the correct changes been made for optimum performance?

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks paul,

I have got a Knocklink and does not show any knock since I change the Lambda sensor (LSM-11) and fuel pump (walbro).

But it would be worth a listen as I have heard about the knocklinks not being to reliable.

Cheers
Scott
