where did it go
i was concerned about it being a little noisey when cold etc etc
stuck the oil in and it was mint lol

so how much do they use?

My 97 turbo has 50,000 on the clock and never looses a drop, which still amazes me every time I check as it is the first car I have owned that hasn't burnt oil.

Are you sure it was on half? it makes a differance if it is parked on a bit of a slope.

The sump oil level is VERY sensitive to any road angle; both for-aft and side to side. A couple of degs can make oil reading go below min with a full sump!!!!!

Yes they are very sensitive to slopes, My drive is all over the place so I have to check it at the same spot each time so that I know what I am looking at.
