Down pipe gasket???
#1
Fitting a magnex down pipe on tuesday and just need to know is there a gasket for turbo to down pipe, if there is can i use the old one or do i need to get a new one.
Also how does the d/p fit to the c/s as the old one has a type of flexy joint the magnex c/s has a flare on it but the d/p has nothing to fix that to or does the pipe slide in side the c/s hope this is clear.
Cheers

Yes there is a gasket between d/p and turbo, as far as re-using goes it depends how old it is, I bought one a couple of months ago and have re-used it 3 times. The gasket is metal.
Dunno about the fitting to c/s, i've fitted various d/p's to hks centre but have no experience of magnex

In my opinion I wouldn't re-use a gasket from the turbo end just to be sure. Same as the reason why you would never re-use the washer/gasket on the nut in your sump when you do an oil change. They're only about £12 anyway so it's not like they'll break the bank
