I have just had a full magnex de-cat system fitted to my MY98 impreza and it has made a massive difference, But the trouble is the down pipe just touches the the steering column shaft.
Has anyone had this before and know how to sort it, any advice would be very much appreciated.
Cheers.

I heard this was a problem with early magnex pipes but the design was revised. I've had a twin-dump on mine for about 4 months and its never hit the steering column so it seems you have an older design. Did you get it brand new?

, so we took the downpipe off & heated up the additional wastegate pipe & gently tapped the pipe to give us apporx 1/2 inch clearance from the column. SORTED !
