Question

cheeked out my ecu today,i pulled the carpets back and removed the metal plate. underneath was ecu with a silver sticker with ad190 a18-000. D37 ON IT....a bit lost? ANY HELP ON WHICH MODEL IT IS AE800.AE801.OR AE802. I DRIVE A MY98 AUG... CHEERS

ae800 801 802 ecm's are for my99 onwards mate.

Thats funny. I pulled my carpets back and felt much the same reaction. Mine reads

5S
22611 AD210
A18-000D36 7926

Let me know if you find out anything.

'Waterboy', your ECU should also have 8S in bigger print on the sticker, that is a std MY97/98 ECU.

'Axeman', what MY / Model is your car?

ECUTEK only works on post-98 ECUs.

If your car was built after September 98 it will be an MY99.

I suspect that the answer is a 'link' ecu, but at 1400 quid, I'm hoping that someone has an alternate solution ?

The Power Engineering Phase 1 for about £650+Vat is at the moment the only way in the UK to remap the MY97/98 (V3/4) Jecs ECU.

sounds good - I'm running full TSL de-cat and ITG at the mo, so I'd probably gain something from that...
