Hi there,

I would like to have a oil pressure guage in the car and I went to see a garage yesterday and they said no problem, as long as there is a plug on the engine to tap off from. They said that the STi's usually have a capped off plug that they could tap into.

Is this correct ? and where is it ?

I guess there must be one, as Subaru offer their 3 pod guage system which incorporates oil pressure, but I'm not paying the Subaru £600+ on this.

Not sure whether to gets analog guages or wait for the SECS system to have the oil pressure support, as it does look like a cool piece of gear.

THANKS !

Mark.

The oil pressure sender is located underneath and to the left of the alternator.

It is oil temp that can be taken from a spare plug (at the rear of the block by the turbo), I presume it was this the garage were refering to.
