Thinking of upgrading the current Sti fuel pump and pressure regulator to run a max of 1.5bar boost. Is this necessary or the std Sti items will be able to cope?

What is the flow rate of the Sti fuel pump? Any difference from std UK or WRXs?

Are the fuel pressure regulator on Sti's upgraded from the std UK or WRXs as well?

Not looking to touch any internals but just to run on 1.5bar max. I have a close deck block, induction kit and a full system on my v4 type R boosting at 1.3.

Thanks

The stock fuel pump isn't up to running 1.5bar, and assuming you have stock V4 injectors (440cc's) I think you'll be pushing those too.

You will be able to improve things by increasing the fuel pressure, but it may cause other issues, unless you can remap your ECU.

Mark.

christian r,

i know coz i opted for a close deck block when mine blew...

ok, so to run at 1.5 bar i'm pushing the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator? injectors should be ok after i used the claculation form one of the posts as 1.5 is the utter maximum i'm running.

or would i just need the fuel pressure regulator only? if so, any ideas on which brands to get, i suppose that's your expertise ri9ket?

thanks very much, knew u big bhp guys would be able to help.
