Hi all

I have a 'bailey piston dump valve' on my 94 wrx which i want to remove. I am a mechanical numpty so i need to know exactly what to block off etc. It looks to be connected to an i/c hose and out of the other end of the d/v is a hose which seems to go into the manifold.

Can I just remove the d/v and block off both remaining holes or do i need to put something else in place ie do imprezas have a recirculating valve as standard or something ala cosworths?

ps anyone wanna buy a bailey d/v ?

as standard the car has a recirculating DV on them, and thus you would probably want to put one of them on, rather than just blocking the pipes off.

As for instructions, have a look here OK, its for FITTING a Forge VTA, but it does show what is removed, and what a standard recirc DV looks like.

As for getting a DV, you could phone Andrew @ Grade A Subaru, as he might have a few, his number is 01663 744114

CC,

I not entirely familiar with your set up, but I have removed the dump valve from my 98 UK turbo. (has a TD 05 turbo fitted)
AFAIK, it's not wise to do this with a VF series turbo, but if you have a TD 05, your singing
There were 3 pipes going into the dump valve on my car, and I blocked them off.

Hope that helps.

Scoty
