How hard is it to fit?
How long should it take?

What tools will I need?

Any suggestions or maybe some step by step instructions.

Thanks

Dan

Taken from http://www.steve.ukmail.org/car/backandcentre.html

a page on the brilliant website www.steve.ukmail.org - I believe this is the hero responsible for ecutek!! Great site, lots of dyno's and stuff on his car. Check it out!

"Fitting these bits was a breeze compared with the down pipe. All you need are 12mm & 14mm spanners & a couple of ramps. I started at about 6.30pm and finished by 8pm with the back of my car reversed onto ramps in the front of my garage - it was dark outside, but I couldn't wait"

But personally, I'd pay someone to fit it for me

When you offer the new section up put window sealant on the joints, this stops all air leaks. Yes window sealant works brill no problems. You even have a choice of colours if you wish.

Dan,
it's a simple job mate. if you don't have a good enough jack, find a high curb to drive up onto, it might be a tad tight underneath, but it's not as bad as having the car on the ground!

If you can undo four nuts with a spanner you can change the centre exhaust !

It really is that easy

It took me 15 mins with a pit

Question

just fitted mine, and apart from seveir sholder ache (getting old ) it went fine .. apart from 1 bit!

my center didnt have a concave section at the front to take the dounut on the d/p !!
anyone else had this problem ?

I believe the haward&scott (ex scoobysport) ones DO. but mine didnt!

anyway - filled the gaps with gum-gum & tightened it all up. seems ok & no leaks. but was just wondering 'is this right' ??

cheers
Steve

Not long at all mate. I would have said alot less than 1.5 hours! We put my downpipe on, then put all the original exhaust back on as we didnt think the mid arrived. Then found out it did so whacked it on the ramp, exhaust came off no problem and new one went on. Think it only took about 30 mins if that!

Edited cause i cant spell
