Unhappy

Hello chaps and chapesses, can anyone tell me if my Lambda sensor is knackered?

Fitted Dawes AFR meter, soldered joints, earthed direct to battery (also engine has earth mod)

"Heres what happens" when cold AFR gives readings fluctuating up & down the coloured LED's, mainly green/blue, as it should, coz the choke is on and the mixture should be rich.

When car is warmed up thouroughly and I hit WOT blue light comes on for a second, then green light for a second, then yellow and red, then goes out altogether with no further readings for approx 10 mins or some times not at all.

Does this mean it is on it's way out? or is there somthing else wrong?

Thanks Steve

Thumbs up

Yeah I would say that you're Lambda is on its way out! I say this cos I had the same problem when I wired the AFR in. The Lambda works on voltage, and when it de grades the voltage drops, thus the AFR senses no reading cos the voltage is below its operating range! My Afr never worked at all til I renewed the Lambda.
I was a bit reluctant cos they're £100 a pop plus mine was only 2 years old!!! Ps got mine from BRDevelopments.
