I have been offered a second hand prodrive downpipe fully fitted (Main dealer)for 300 notes. Does this sound reasonable?

Be very careful.

Under no circumstances should this part be fitted on an otherwise standard car. And as another point, the person who has taken it off their car and presumably replaced it with a decat pipe (if that's what's happened) has gained nothing but noise, potentially reduced performance, risked his engine and lost his warranty.
