Anyone fitted a bleed valve or Dawes to an early model wagon (with the TD04) without a remap? Just wondering if it's safe to run a little more boost (about 13-14psi) without the map to go with it? The car is run on SUL or optimax with octane booster.
I know it's be a much better idea to get the right map but i'm don't wanna pay the daft prices for a chip just to get a few extra hp.

Cool

Yep, fitted a Dawes to a MY94 UK Turbo wagon, although mine has a TD05 which I'm sure yours should have too?

No problems with it so far, probably done about 10k-15k since it's been on?

Currently running at or around Fuel cut due to the colder weather, will need to screw it back a bit. With that and the full decat/filter it got a very good 287bhp on the rollers at Star at the end of Spetember/start of October.

I run with a boost gauge at the moment but do plan on adding the knocklink/afr soon (and then the FCD? ).

I'm thinking of running a few extra psi but it's a JDM car and i don't wanna turn the boost up too much and upset the fueling. If i'm running it with octane booster and i'm getting close to jap fuel octane ratings then i sholdn't do it any harm. Right?? I'm just looking to squeeze a few more hp without spending much cash cuz the car's getting sold after the new year.

David,

Well there's a few reasons for me selling.

1) The car hasn't run properly since i bought it.
2) It's not really a good base car to modify since it's already down on power over most other scoobs.
3) It's gonna take a few hundred quid to even get the interior looking half decent.
4) Someone tried to steal it 2 nights ago and I've only had it for a few months
5) Insurance is horrific considering it's not that fast a car
6) I've never really liked the car anyway
7) I want a Nissan with 2 big **** off turbos

I could go on but I'm sure you get the general idea.

Would love too but that would just make mine feel even slower so i'd want to ditch it even quicker.
