The little round thing about 2 inches long behind the air box, has 2 wires in the top and pipe in the bottom?????
Is it supposed to tick when the engine is running??????? sounds like a HT cable arking, just not heard it before.

Boost solenoid maybe? Is it a cylinder thing? A pic would be nice though.

Yer it's a cylinder with a transparent top so you can see the two wires inside.
Just wandering if it should be making a constant ticking noise when the engine is running...I can hear it from inside the car.

sounds like the boost solenoid to me what you can try is taking out the little metal inserts that the nuts tighten down on to you will see them when the nuts are removed and cut them down a little bit then bolt back up but not to tight as when overtightened the little inserts sit on the strut turret which can cause a noise. so cutting them down and not ******* them back up can cure it.
