ok guyz i have a suspicion that I may have a problem with the unichip that has been fitted to MY93WRX and would like to know as to whether there is a simple way of disconnecting it so that I can run with the standard ECU setup ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

You get bridge plugs for them...
Or just take it out, and bridge the correct wires yourself...you'll have to check which wires belongs to which by following them all the way to where they go into the OE wiring harness...

Let's say there's a red wire connected to the loom, follow it away from the connector, till you get to the wirng harness, follow it till you find where it has been soldered to another wire (in or close to the OE wiring harness)...let's say it's connected to a yellow wire...Now, follow all the wires in this fashion, then bridge the two ultimately connected to yellow to each other, those that start off blue to each other etc etc...

Hell, this is the only way I can explain it (If you know how the unichip works, this should make a bit of sense)

Is it not normal for the Fitter (InterPro in this case) to fit a male plug on one end and a female on the other, so the unit can just be unplugged and the loom reinstated to its original condition?

Also, any ideas where InterPro may have hidden the UNICHIP?
