i have a 94 gtb with a knackered engine and auto box.i cannot find a replacement legacy engine and box,the prices are too high.
i dont mind changing to a manual box or even putting an impreza engine into it.
what are my options and were to go???

Define knackered!

The engine is the same as an impreza engine, and assuming the turbo's are okay, you can transplant the lot onto a replacement short engine (engine less heads etc).

Manual into auto conversion has been done by a guy on here also, Stevie_Turbo did it a few months back.

Manual conversion is a lot of work. Def easier just to get a manual car.
Why not just replace the engine, as Pavlo says, its just the same as impreza. Any differences would not be worth worrying about.

 

I have a 96 twin turbo engine I want to sell at very reasonable money.

 

I might know where there is a auto box as well it will be cheap sorry value for money

 

Aha, Rallcy colin is the man with the engine I mailed you about.

If you just need an engine, I know someone that will buy the injectors for some sensible money.
