After finally receiving the correct wiring harness for my Blitz Dual Turbo Timer, I have now fitted it (well sort of). There is a vaccum tube that needs to be connected to a source behind the throttle body. Can someone please explain or show me with pics where this needs to be fitted.
Also is there a way to alarm the car up while the Timer has kicked in and the engine still running?
My car is a 01 UK300
Thanks
Steven

just got one of these myself.. but not sure where to get the harness from (have posted in wanted!) where'd u get yours?

The pipe should go in the line that comes from manifold to the boost solenoid (on n/s suspension turret). there are about 3 or so pipes all running around that area.
I have a boost gauge taken off at the point where there's a t-peiece coming from the manifold, by inserting another t-peiece with a small section of tubing.

that should do it.
sorry - dont have any pics for you car !

Steve

I ordered mine from Amber Performance on 01582 572500. Apart from it being the cheapest place I found it for, it is very close to where I live. All the pipe I thought I could connect to, seem too big. Did you have to do anything to the pipes to make them fit? The rest of the timer is connected, but doesn't seem to adjust the timing. I thought the vaccum tube was for the boost, but does it affect the timing set up aswell?
Thanks
Steven

i May be wrong but my understanding is that the pipe is deffo to measure boost, the TT determines how long to run the car for before switching off by how much boost etc. has been run before you switch the ignition off.
ie. if you have been givin it some before parking up then it will know by how much boost.. and switch off accordingly..

Without giving too much info away...
There are not that many alarms that support TT's..
Dont really want to specify which ones due to lettin everyone know what security you have
Best to contact a local alarm supplier and ask if your peticular alarm will work

I found I can lock the doors using the key, but since I set the doors to lock when I start the ignition, when I lock it with the key and the timer shuts off, the doors unlock again. I suppose I could set it so the doors don't lock on startup, but this still means the alarm won't kick in.
