I've connected up the oxygen sensor wire as per
http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...ain&ForumID=11 (Plug B136 pin 5)
and connected the +ive to the supply to the cigarette lighter and -ive to a good earthing point but nothing seems to light up when i start the motor...
Do i need to wait for it to warm up or run on WOT before i get a reading? I would have thought that i would get some sort of reading all time?
Do i need to go and check my Dad's dodgy wiring?? or should i only get lights when it's warmed up?

Cheers, will give it a go. Just been reading the instructions and it says that i need to wire -ive to the battery rather than the body... Is that how you have yours??

Cheers again. I had a switch connected in the +ive feed and i thought that one of the connections was dodgy so i've removed that, and i've wired the earth striaght back to the battery. It didn't work at first but i left it ticking over for a few minutes and the red light came on Revving it did indeed make some other flash so i'll reconnect my switch and try again. I just need to run a wire from the battery now

Now mate, I had the very same head scratcher as you!
I actually gave up on myne as it was a saturday with no technical help or internet access at home.
Go out for a run in the car. Within a couple of miles / minutes the sensors warm up and you start getting the lights coming on.
Floor it - once youve got her nice and warm though - and if it's owt like myne it will give full bright blue light @ w.o.t or will be greens if your not running as rich mixture as my Legacy.
I took myne off and put it back on god knows how many times, sat on drive at tickover - nothing! Went to pick the other half up and found out I had fitted right first time in about 20 minutes.
Hope this helps.

Cheers Guys. I reckon i had the same problem... Didn't wait long enough for it to warm up
Anyway, i've got the earth wired back to the battery and all seems to be well, it's a proper little disco down there once things get going!!
BTW. It's bright blue all the way @ WOT

I ran my wire through the back of the footwell.
I used a metal hanger (Cut in half) and taped the cable onto it. Then I just fed the wire through. It saves you taking the front console out.

Mine is the earlier dash (MY97) and I've put it in the little cubby hole on the right below the steering wheel. Not the best place to be able to see it but couldn't really find a more suitable one
Device is pretty small but not sure where it would fit on a later dash
