The dealer should know how 2 set the alarm up because ny dealer did mine. They should have sigma programmer with them, if i was you, you should contact another subaru dealer.

Question

Can anyone help I need change a setting on my Alarm?

Standard WRX 2002 Subaru Category 1 Alarm System.

Now the little blue book which accompanies the car tell's you most things but NOT how to set the Auto Arm with Door Locking. It says it can be turned on by your Subaru dealer, but my local dealers don't know and I have phoned elsewhere and they were not sure - they just refered me to the blue book.

Does anyone know, it must be easy and it will save me forgetting to press the Alarm button? Maybe it is one of the Keypad features 1,3,6, or 7 reserved for future use?

Cheers, Jason.

Try to do this offline.

Putting up the model number of the alarm system on a public BBS is more information than is needed to the less desirable elements.

IMHO of course.

You want to lock the doors automaticlaly when you start the car?? Its right there in the manual. You use the keypad - I cant remember what the number is but I remember reading it and thinking whata good idea it was. I will have another look tonight.

Mickle, not sure what the model number is anyway, have to have a look at the certificate at some point - will e-mail you seperately.
Cheers.

And no it's not the safety lock function as you can do that, why I don't know - as you can just lock it yourself whilst driving along.

IIRC this 'locked when you drive' system is mandatory on new cars in certain parts of the world. Forget where though.
