I'm more confused than ever now...
My car is a UK MY96 turbo

After reading the following thread on oxygen sensors I don't know where mine is anymore. I always thought it was the thing near the turbo on the downpipe as per the service manual extracts I saw on Chris Palmer's website. Which is correct, as I looked in the manifold at the front, and found a sensor, with no wires going near it

The car runs just about spot on. No hunt on idle, it doesn't seem under powered, doesn't drink fuel stupidly quickly and no CEL showing.

What's going on? Any ideas??? TIA.

I have, and there is a "sensor" there with no wires near it

Is this another case of dnb's strange car where nothing is where it should be???

My sensor is located in the exhaust manifold..... looking into the engine bay from the front it's down on the left hand side. Have a look there.

Thanks Tony. I get used to this when people look at my car. Just ask Dyney - he opened the bonnet and found a different engine to what he was expecting

Still, there's no CEL showing, so I'll see what the MOT says next week. Would be nice to know it's going to pass first time though.

I'll disconnect the sensor in the downpipe, and see what fault code I get!!
