What kinda of average mpg does a MY 1998 4dr Turbo do.
Driving Stuff
25% ragging, 75% normal driving, mix of motorway and a bit of around town traffic.
In my current car, I get about 200 miles to 30 squid of fuel, I have to fill up every 6 days to a week depending on the average week.
Will a scooby do the same or worse?
I need a quick reply cos I am gonna buy the car tomorrow but cant afford to bankrupt myself as I have a mortgage to pay too
Thanks
Dan

If I can take your own figures - 200miles for £30, you're doing about 23mpg at the moment, which is not far off what you'd get on the Subaru.
It's a bit late to be accurate, as you say you're getting one tomorrow, but the only way you can be accurate is to fill the tank, reset the trip. At the next fill, note the litres put in and the trip miles. Divide the [miles] by [litres*4.54] to get MPG.
In 15000 miles I've averaged 24mpg on a 99MY, best 30, worst 16
To be honest if you're worried about fuel costs, I'd make sure that you have a very good warranty with it, big bills for parts that wear out with mileage are more damaging.
