Yesterday upon closing my car with the key and knowing that I get some small electrical shocks sometimes, I slowly pointed the key to the keyhole when I saw a blue spark between both and I could feel the shock up until my elbow....

Would an earthing cable remove this ''problem'' or is there anyting else to eliminate this? I'm fed up to always get 8 electrical shocks a day when closing and opening the car)

It's static, that's all

The best way to avoid it is to grab a piece of metal when you put your foot on the ground for the first time. I reach up with my left hand and grab the roof whilst getting out. You might need to change hands for LHD

Wink

Strange, I don't suffer from this problem, but then again my boss says I have no potential.

A big body to battery cable helped on my car - winters here are the pits for static!!

Did not get rid of it totally, but certainly has helped.

Anton, do you just grep scoobynet for the words "earthing mod"

And as for the "no potential" pun, well,

LOL@ Nick - how'd you guess

It also adds 50bhp at idle and improves torque, and fuel economy to the point there are no emissions

Take a look at the following site to see how far it has gone...
http://www.cyborg.ne.jp/~hide-s/Pro-E/PRO-E1.htm(sorry, it is in Japanese, but bablefish should provide some funny interpretations to laugh at )
