Anyone got any engine bay pics of a standard 94 WRX? Just got the car and i wanna see if anything has been altered under the bonnet. I'm hoping to get my hands on some pics to compare.

Also, The bonnet vents (not the intercooler scoop) appear to be blocked off. There is a plate bolted to the underside of them and it looks pretty airtight (i may be wrong though). I thought these were functional vents to dispel the heat from the exhaust manifolds? Is it worth removing the plates?

cheers,

Marty

I know mine's a different car, (MY96 UK) but I thought that all of the vents were non functional. (They don't appear on the "bugeyes" at all)

Personally, I wouldn't take off the covers. It rains too much in the UK...

It's from a 96 but I think they are pretty similar, it needs a damn good clean but I don't have the car yet so can't do much about it

I have a late 94 WRX and it looks the same under the bonnet as the picture of the 96, with the exception of the ABS thingy on the left hand side (as you look at it). Mine doesn't have this as it doesn't have ABS, so there is a gap.

When you get that car you need to go see Mr Underwood the Wax Wizard. Its amazing how easily he cleans that engine bay.
