Unhappy

After around 35 laps of hard driving on knockhill, i noticed some oil dripping out from under. I've since had it checked and it is leaking from the crankshaft oil seal, was wondering if:

1. anybody else has had this problem and to post how much the repair bill was.

2. was it caused by crankcase over presurization possibly due to running an induction kit/exhaust.

any info would be greatly appreciated

cheers

Thumbs up

Chris,

Speak to Andy F, he knackered his oil seal in July at Knockhill too.

not too bad a problem to fix, just a case of removing the timing belt first, but be careful, may be the oil pump leaking oil, not the crank seal, but either way, easily fixed, once timing belt off out of the way. Yes, quite often caused by sustained high oil pressure at high temp range.
