.......I know it's not really the done thing to ask about other makes, but I thought I'd try anyway....

Ford Escort Estate (R reg) 1.8 turbo Diesel

how do you check the gear box oil level ??

if it's low, how do you then top it up ??

hope someone can help....

get under the car on a level surface about half way up the side of the box is either a square drive or allen key plug remove this plug if oil starts to come out put plug in all ok if low top up using one of those 1 ltr top up ep80 oil available from halfords etc pull plastic straw out of bottle stick straw in to hole in gearbox and squeese bottle forcing oil from bott to box fill till oil starts to come out of level plug,dont worry these boxes dont have a drain plug so you can not get the wrong one.hope this helps.rob
