If the fluid level is Ok try giving the float in the reservoir a quick prod. On my 95WRX it sometimes get stuck and makes the system think there is a fluid level problem and lights up the warning light.
The problem seems to have cured itself, so perhaps the float was getting stuck. The fluid level wasnt overly low so I hope it was just a sticky float .
