Question

Just started today, loud huming noise from the rear end, only happens when pulling away, I think it could be a rear brake(s) sticking but not sure, only lasts for a few second, then stops, until, move off time. UK97 BTW.

Is a known problem or could it be something else.

Cheers,

Leigh

When the back brakes of my car were rubbing, they made more of a scraping noise.

Could be the hand brake drum things not releasing properly?

Sorry I can't help futher.

if you think its the rear brakes then when rolling slowley yank the hand brake hard & drop it fast, then stop & try pulling off again, see if it still does it.

could also be the diff, or a wheel bearing
