Don't NEED it, but it does make the car feel much more composed through the twisties. Having the car lowered will probably send the present settings to pot, possibly resultin in uneven tyre wear. This may not be the case, but i was in your shoes a couple of months back and did go for the setup.
It would be nice to hear from anyone who's had Eibachs without the Geo setup!

if the garage fitting them dont insist on a geometry check/reset then i would seriously consider not letting them touch your car at all. -1.15 camber and 0.05 toe-in all round are decent fast road settings.

as you're in nottingham, you could use TSL in keyworth. Spoke to them on friday about setting up my sti. Will take about two and a half hours using an eight laser set up. costs 95 quid and they would be happy for you to watch/participate

I have not asked the person who is to fit them yet. I have to wait for him as he is does them in his own time. He is the only person to touch my car and is a mechanic at Subaru. When fitted this is the question I will be asking. Kippax thank you for showing concern and putting your point across.
