removing front cat

if you were to put a stainless downpipe to oem exhaust and remove the front cat would this pass emissions tests as car would look standard for insurance purposes

Some cars do pass some dont...some have passed with no cats at all !

Emissions test and insurance are not necessarily related.

emissions test because i would like it to pass it, and because i dont want any visible signs of modification for insurance purposes

but insurance company would want to know estimated horsepower increase to update your policy and premium!
