Noticed today that on left hand bends only i am getting a sqeeking noise, appears to be from front wheel area on drivers side any ideas (Eibachs, AP6 pots and 18" wheels if that makes any difference) ????

Why did you change your OEM brakes so quickly?

wouldn't presume to to answer on behalf of PCB but suspect the answer will be the same (apologies if it isn't).

brakes changed as OEM are sh*te. you know, really scary sh*te if you're a quick drive.

and that, unfortunately, is the most complimentary thing i can say about them.

Brakes not releasing completely from the rotor and with the load on corners is rubbing against the rotor?

Thumbs up

Thanks all for the replies, gives me something to start with.

alan, as RRH, after having the 6 pots on my MY01 I resisted putting them on for a couple of weeks after getting the STi, but the standard brembos don't compare to the AP's imho.

Si

Get your wheel bearings checked out. Already seen lots of problems with these and heard stories of demo cars having them changed very regularly at events.

More grip, from wider tyres and better suspension, same old Morris Minor style wheel bearings, as fitted to all 1992 Imprezas.

My front left wheel bearing (same part as yours) was replaced at 28k.
