Question

I'm after a lamda sensor for my 95 wrx ra ,i've been quoted £300 for a japanese one , but i've been reading some posts and from what i gather a british subaru one would fit.
So i tried phoning subaru up and they wound'nt sell me one unless i had a british chassis number . so i wondering if anyone has got the part number for the lamda sensor .

thanks nick.
p.s are the halfords lamda sensors any good

just cost me £265 for my lamba sensor supposedly you can only get them from subaru, SCC tried to get a cheaper one for my93 wrx but both didn't work, I was told you can only use a jap one there different to uk?

Thanks for that nutterkam , i'm a bit worried now by what clint has said , i've read some posts and some people reackon that the british sensor is the same as the jap sensor , the only diffence is the length of the wire , is this true? .
I'm only getting it because the co is abit high and will fall the m o t . ajf is the sensor brand new ? .

thanks ,

nick.

As far I know the Jap version just has a longer wire so it can reach down into the headers. There is a Bosche one that works well but you're gonna have to do a search to find the necessary threads. I started a thread a few months ago called "universal lambda" where I seem to have replaced the lambda with a universal jobbie but I have yet to test the longevity of the unit because the car isn't running (because I'm working on it).
