Id have your car serviced and have any of the said oils put in

1. Motul 15w50 fully synth
2. Mobil 1 Motorsport 15w50 fully synth
3. Castrol 10w60 fully synth

These are the most commonly used, a thinner oil like the shell 5w30 will give you a more tappy noise from your engine, i would suggest if you use the above 3 oils that you let the car warm up for about 5 miles (so the oil is at its optimum running temp) before giving it some stick

Red face

Slick 50
All i can say is get that cr@p out of your engine and put fully synthetic in there!!
As said above, use one of the 3 recommended oils given and fully synth is better than semi/mineral oil with slick nasty in.... (and shoot your local dealer who said put slick 50 in )

Unhappy

Have to agree with tony on this one (slick 50)

I have in the past put this in an old car of mine and after a short amount of miles the engine became very tappety. The slick 50 cleans the carbon deposits from the internal engine parts, this small build up is good for the engine and lets them run quieter...

Also the parts of carbon e.t.c cleaned off the engine internals will now circulate throughout the engine which is not good on a turbo car as it can cause problems with the turbo bearing and other things..!!
