RE: Sti7 oil cooler

I was wondering if the JDM Sti7's are supposed to have a radiator type oil cooled plumbed in. I was told there should be one. All i can find is some kind of water cooled oil filter sandwich plate.
Is this set up sufficient or should i plumb another one in???
