ECU Reset

I've had my MY98 scoob for 2 months now and have been running optimax from day 1, would there be any benefit in getting the ECU reset, how much does it cost and will i see any performance improvments. The previous owner assured me that it had been run on SUL from new, but i fancy an ECU reset for my peace of mind.
