on my second scooby i still have a problem with shuddering when i pull away, this seems to happen in damp weather more, this is not a problem performance wise just annoying, is this just because it is a heavy perforamce clutch

"They all do that, sir"

Clutch judder is annoying and most scooby's seem to have it. My MY97 UK Turbo had it with the original clutch. I paid for a replacement clutch and it juddered just as bad. Now, I have just bought a UK300 and that has clutch judder too I might try and get this one replaced under warranty but I expect the new will be the same.

Glaze it by doing a full bore start.
That cures it for a while

My MY01 WRX is the same, sometimes it judders sometimes it behaves, always ok once the car is warm but a pain all the same. Having a decat exhaust I think the chances of a replacement on warrenty is slim. Anyone tried an AP clutch or something, does this cure the problem?

Three clutches in and still got it. Goes away when they replace, however, it always comes back after a similar amount of mileage.

I also get this problem when I start from cold, usually first thing in the morning. I recently had a new clutch and it's still the same

Just bought my first Scoob MY99 and thought the clutch was bust. I read an article from drivers club site and it suggested three full bore standing starts. Tried it - problem gone away and it was bloody good fun!!! Is there anyway to get a scoob to wheel spin?!

MY99 had dire judder from cold.

Stopped at some traffic lights Wednesday night, everything nice and warm from a run.

4000rpm dialed in and pretty much sidestep the clutch

Nice smell and no more judder

Surely sidestepping the clutch will limit the clutches life thus meaning replacing the clutch and having judder again??? Vicious circle??
