Guys,

I am having some troubles with my Impreza, turbo sedan, 2000 model. I have a K&N induction kit, with kone filter. I also have a striaght through 76mm exhaust, decat.

I am having some trouble with both boost and idling. The cars boost is fluctuating, ie. at 120kmph in 5th gear, put foot flat and the boost on the boost gauge goes up to about 1.5, 1.6 (gauge reads about 0.2 high), then drops to 0.7, 0.8 and then back up to 1.5, and then back down to 0.8 and carries on for awhile.

Then with the idling, it also flucuates, goes up to about 1100rpm and drops off to 100rpm (close to stalling, does stall now and then), then it feels like the auto-choke kicks in and revs it up to 1000rpm, and then back down and back up and normally settles at between 700rpm and 800 and bounces there...

Can anyone please help me??!?!?!?!

Altogether no...
MAF
MAF,
oh MAF, MAF, MAF,
etc. etc.

And overboost probably 'cos of the K&N but fix the MAF first & see how it goes.

My dealer has told me that they have already replaced the MAF sensor...

I have also been advised to change the 2-port boost solenoid to a 3-port boost solenoid. Will this help??

Thanks,
Graham
