Front splitter fitting.....!!hints..?

Hi,

Any one fitted a front splitter to the older pre facelift bumpers 93-98..

The one ive got is like the one from DR motorsport, i.e not the STI one.... its fibreglass..

Any hints in fitting it as it looks like is going to be a problem getting to stick to the bumper...!! and holding it there so it doesnt peel off..

Dan,

You need some screws (self tapers do the trick) to secure the splitter under the front number plate at either side of the bottom airway. You also place a few screws in front of each wheel where the splitter meets the bumper. I also think when mines was fitted that some sort of paste/silicon/putty type material was used to stick the edges.

Dan fitted one to my93 wrx,i got som panel adhesive from halfords and bonded it on to bumper also puting self tapers in places as said above they do not show when painted,also where the splitter comes round the side of bumper to the wheel arch i put some self tapers in till the adhesive set then removed them filled holes before paintig.hope this helps,Dug.
