Depends on the size.
If it's generally smaller than a 5 pence piece, then it can be repaired or filled and will pass MoT.
However, not sure about the location, I had a stone chip in the same general area, which expanded rapidly to become a crack !

Sorry, don't have any ideas on pricing.

If it's out of the drivers primary field of view (windscren repair people will have a template), and it's not too big, it will be repairable.

Do it straight away though as they crack and run VERY quickly if left. That would then mean a new windscreen.

Mike.

I had a stone chip on my windscreen too. Took it to RAC windscreens and they reapaired it for free! Can't even see where it was.

Will be free if you are fully comp on your insrance.

Get it done ASAP though as it will soon get bigger.

Sorry, dont know how it will look on the black bit of the screen.

Do you need to be insured by the RAC?

no mate, I am insured with Direct Line.

RAC Windscreens said dont matter who your insured with long as your fully comp. Would of only been £50-£60 for a full windscreen replacement too.

Think you can go to their web site and find the one nearest to you.
