Phill, shock horror, I got a few -1 degree knock correction spikes using your map today but the car was still catted.

Look for the lambda voltage on full load - will probably be about 900mV +-20mV on full load at high revs.

If the lambda sensor is damaged it will just waste fuel and fail MOTs even with the cats in, and possibly idle a bit funny. They are about £120.

All,

Fitted my second AFM yesterday (on my second Subaru) and it doesn't appear to be reading as I'd expect. On WOT I'm getting a red LED, not the expected green or blue??

Do you think that I've connected it to the correct signal wire ? Has anyone had a faulty AFM yet ? Could it be a poor connection ?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Phill C

Phil has a Tek 3 map, and the Select Monitor showed no knock correction, so I don't think it is actually lean, but he is awaiting Delta Dash to see.

My thoughts were:

Failed lambda sensor, meter or wiring.

John,

They didn't test it on full load, they checked it while in the garage, but the good news is it can't be the Lambda, as the reading seemed to be what they should be!! Didn't doubt the mapping at all honest

Oh well if it knackered then there's no danger of doing any damage then ? It brilliant on petrol at the moment, so must be the wiring / AFM.

Will check this out later.

Cheers Phill C
