This is how you should fit a Dawes device:



There is a nipple on the inlet manifold to connect a boost guage to.

fitted my dawes 3 months ago got the boost set to 15-16lbs all depending what gear i am in but have to say in 4 and 5 gear i get occasional overboost i have heard of this restrictor that with .1 adjustments it can cure this can anyone tell me where it is

You should no longre have the restrictor in place if youve put the dawes on. Its in the pipe that you removed. You have it set too high and need to turn it back a bit. Test it in 5th wot as this produces maxboost.

thanks for the reply but i dont know if i have mine in a different place to yourself but it is in line with the wastegate and then tees into the tube that goes off to the boost gauge and so i am sure the restrictor hasn`t been removed

thanks for the reply but that is the way i have the dawes fitted on my scooby also with a t peice going off to the boost gauge so i am still non the wiser about the restrictor

so come on someone knows where it is

Fair enough xsoo,

as i said the restrictor is in the t-piece where the picture of that dawes is replacing. Its on the right hand side of the t.
