Setting limits on defi boost gauge probs

Bought a secondhand defi boost gauge and controller off SN a few weeks ago and had it installed by Tileys in Bristol (what nice people ).
Gauge works fine and I'm very pleased with it, however one thing is eluding me. The flashing warning LED was set by the previous owner at about 1.0bar. I want to reset this to about 1.25. I can do this with the engine running and it all works as advertised. However, if I switch off the ignition then back on again, I find that the limit has reset to 1.0 again. The controller appears to be okay as it still retains Peak info, it's just that the warning doesn't want to work.
The unit was new in February. Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply
The power supply to the gauge/controller is set so that it comes on with the second click of the car key (i.e. the one just before start). If it were wired up to come on with the actual ignition might this alleviate the problem?
PS. I assume by "ECU" that you mean the Defi controller?
