Hi Ive recently had to get my bugeye mot'd for the first time in my ownership and it failed miserably on the emissions. I believe its a 200 cell cat fitted so i was sceptical if it would work which it didnt . Since then ive changed plugs and the front lambda as it looked shagged and ragged it before the retest however its still to high on the emissions. Im stumped on what to do next as i dont have money to just through at all other potential causes like the tune on the car etc

Whats it failing on?
Ive got a sports cat, had it a long time and never had a issue if the cat is hot.

 

Failed on co reading 0.83 first test and second was 0.78

 

Check that the air filter is clean and no blockages..... you could remove the filter just for the test so as to get a smidgen more air into the engine..... 🤔

 

What mods does this car have?
Besides the sports cat.

 

Stick some Dipetane in the tank before MOT, works a treat for me with a 200cel sports cat
