Default Has my engine died? Rod knock? Bottom end?

Afternoon,

Yesterday evening on the way home from visiting my parents something went wrong with my uk turbo 2000 impreza and now getting multiple noises and eml light.

After changing gears on the motorway my accelerator pedal got stuck, i have no idea why or how but it was stuck for a good 10 seconds, car red lined eml light came on and gears stuggeling to go in with whining noises and grinding.

Not only this, the engine makes a tapping sound when on 2k rpm.

Here is two clips of the separate sounds. The hissing sound only happens when in gear. The tapping sound only happens at 2krpm

not straight away, I panicked and tried lifting pedal back up with my foot until it unstuck itself. I parked up after this and gears wouldn't go at first , now they do but really stiff and grinding. The engine knock only happens at 2k rpm
