Hello, has anybody done this, is it possible, and does anyone have a suggestion of where the cartridge might be bought?

There is nothing apparently wrong with my VF24 turbo, but I am doing a lot of work on my car, and while it is out I thought changing the cartridge might be a great idea, it having done well over 100K.

 

If anyone knows, I'd be glad to hear. I have contacted some turbo parts sellers, but no progress.

 

This information may be somewhat outdated so take with a pinch of salt. The older IHI VF turbos didn't have rebuild kits or at least weren't readily available. I remember when I tried to get mine sorted everyone I called up said no. However I know companies do rebuild them. Try Craig Belworthy.
