Default 1999 Forester Turbo s Engine Check Light

Hi all,

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have a 99 Forester Turbo S, if i am on the motorway the car is fine the the light never comes one. But when i drive around town the engine check light comes on intermittently, although almost every time i drive. It can stay on for 5 secs or 5 mins. During this time the car feels hesitant. I am thinking this may be an o2 sensor due to this happening erratically but hopefully someone with more brains than me will be able to help.

Thanks in advance

Dan

As your 99 Forester Turbo S is not OBDII compliant, you will need to check for codes as per the following "classic impreza" method......

http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.p...gECUCodes#toc3

and if any, check the code info out here....
