How can i check on an impreza 1999 if the maf is faulty?.

 

They dont go faulty they generally either work or fail throwing a engine light. Its just they are very susceptible to failure if running anything other than the standard airbox. i use to carry a spare in the glovebox in my old my99 but only had one fail in 7yrs of ownership

 

have replaced lots of faulty 99/00 MAF's over the years and one of the 'tell tales' if it was running lumpy, poor idle, etc was that it had NO EML or fault code............

what symptoms do you have?

 

Bad starting and lumpy running so what is the cost of a new maf.
