Rad caps
Hi,
just had my engine forged and had her mapped after the 1000 mile run in. On the map I jumped from 1.3 to 1.6. What my question is - would it be beneficial for me to use a 1.3 bar top tank cap and keep the rad one as it is at 1.37 to cope with higher engine temps, or shall I just stick with my 1.1 upper tank cap ?
cheers

Never seen any problem with the 1.1 cap imho the 1.3 is to close for comfort if your 1.37 is anyway past it's best. We have seen the 1.37 past its best and air gathering in the header tank due to it letting the pressure out. Changed back to a 1.1 problem solved. On another note also have put the bugeye rad in with no cap on it and then you can have the best of both worlds. Newage cars obviously. I am led to believe the second cap was only introduced to try and cure airlocks.
