Default Timing idler

Just a query regarding order in which the idler bearings are installed when replacing the timing belt - After having a read of the workshop manual, am I correct in saying that they Subaru recommended order for belt installation includes the bottom left lower idler bearing being installed last once the belt is on? Iv had a practice run with the old belt and seems to work well installing in the order they say (crank, LH cams, RH cams (drivers side), lower idler), but it just goes against everything iv ever learnt in regards to installing a belt so that all the slack is at the tensioner, which is then taken up when pulling the pin?
